The problem i have with the standard pitt brush pen is i can't get much variation in line weight after using it too much. Pitt artist pens are great for.

I highly recommend the faber castell pitt artists pens series; The other tips are a fine liner (s) a bullet tip (1.5) and chisel tip (c). Both sizes have brushes, but the big brush pen's brush feels fairly sturdy, whereas the pitt artist pen's brush is thin, a little fragile, and becomes mushy quickly. I think these pens are just great for beginners and experts with brush pens alike. One of the biggest manufacturers manufacturing pitt artist pens is faber castell. I do thurn the nib around to get more life out of it.

The ink in the pitt artist pen line is great for everything from sketching to finished inking and because they are waterproof they also work great with watercolor paint. This set of 4 faber castell colorful pitt artist brush pens is awesome. I tried several samples and they all smeared.

As an amature cartoonist i have pitt pens. They’re relatively cheap, useful, and easy to use. The transition to working with pitt pens has helped me to surrender some of that control and expectation that i mentioned.
